Recruiters are targeting software engineers

The job market in the IT industry is currently in favor of job seekers. As per the Awareson report titled "Year of Seized Opportunities: IT and SAP Job Market 2022," the industry may face a shortage of 500,000 to 600,000 specialists. However, there are a significant number of job offers available, as indicated by the "Ranking of the Most Wanted IT Positions" created by the Huntly.ai recruitment platform. This platform analyzes job postings on prominent recruitment websites, including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Dice, and Indeed, which can be advantageous for IT professionals looking for a job or a change of employer. Furthermore, recruiters can also use this data to aid technology companies in attracting new employees.

Based on the "Ranking of the Most Wanted IT Positions," the most sought-after job is that of a Software Engineer, with a whopping 926,000 job offers available on various platforms. Aspiring candidates are required to possess expertise, proficiency, and hands-on experience in software designing, development, and implementation, alongside testing and analyzing code alterations. Additionally, Huntly's statistics disclose that Senior Software Engineer is the most coveted position, with 70% of IT professionals vying for it. This fact certainly provides a decisive edge.

The DevOps Engineer takes the second spot in the ranking with 124,000 job offers. Their role involves acting as intermediaries between developers and system management departments to ensure smooth information flow and efficient organization. On the other hand, Data Scientists take the third spot with 99,000 job offers, responsible for data processing and analysis. With each of us generating several megabytes of data per second in the era of digitization, the high demand for this profession makes sense and cannot be underestimated.

The "Ranking of the Most Wanted IT Positions" isn't limited to just the top spots. Cybersecurity Engineers also rank well with good results. The need for experts in this field is understandable as per the "Veeam Data Protection Trends Report 2023." It indicates that 83% of companies in Central and Eastern Europe have faced a ransomware attack. The danger is real, and cybercriminals are becoming more effective with time. Hence, companies require strong protection and security measures that can keep up with the ever-changing methods of cyberattacks.

Apart from the professionals mentioned earlier, the IT industry also demands individuals for various roles like Product Manager, Cloud Architect, Mobile Application Developer, Network Engineer, Business Analyst, and UX/UI Designer. The reason behind this is the speedy advancement in technology and the requirement to adjust to evolving circumstances in IT companies and every sector of the economy. IT specialists are already playing a vital role, and it will only increase and become more crucial.

Foreign companies are showing a keen interest in hiring IT specialists from Poland

IT companies in America and Western Europe are struggling to find enough staff, leading them to invest heavily in recruitment and search for specialists. Poland, in particular, has become a focus for many foreign technology companies due to its lower salary rates. The economy is currently experiencing difficulties, which affects not only prices in stores but also salaries. Although salaries in Poland are rising, they are still significantly lower than in North America or Western European countries. This makes it an attractive prospect for foreign companies looking to achieve cost efficiency in a difficult economic climate.

IT specialists in Poland can optimize their current financial commitments while satisfying the demand for new team members, thanks to the lower financial expectations. The average salary for software engineers in the USA and Western Europe is $95,000 to $120,000 per year, whereas in Eastern Europe, it ranges from $30,000 to $60,000 per year. This significant difference in salaries means that remote work has become a pivotal moment for changes in work patterns. Many companies have opted to keep a remote work setup, not only to reduce office costs but also to hire employees from other countries.

For IT specialists from Poland, this presents a significant opportunity as they can expect higher earnings than in domestic technology companies while having a great chance of securing a good position in a global organization.
